inscriptions gains

I have gone through aprox. 4000 blank scrolls, always scribing the highest available scroll. and have only gained from 0 to 19.5. Currently in powerhour and had .01 gain in 15 minutes while on a boat (moving) just in case the anti macro is on. at 19.0 I was scribing level 3 and would succeed one out of 3 but had vurtually no gains in skill. Now I am at 19.5 scribing level 4 scrolls had 6 successful trys out of 100 and had only .01 gain while in powerhour.

all in all 19.5 gains out of 4000 trys equals less than .05% gains. is this normal?

Also tried to buy the skill up from a scrobe vendor and he wouldnt take my money, he asked if I was trying to bribe him.

One thing to keep in mind is the abysmal success chance while using the "highest" skill required scroll you can make. You could have less then a 10% chance of succeeding, and when you couple an immense amount of fails, it may just burn scrolls instead of count towards your gains.

I may have noticed the same about Alchemy, so I will definitely point this towards our developer. 4,000 scrolls regardless should have had you well into the mid range of the skill.

Also as far as the scribe not taking money that will be looked at as well.

Also, according to the http://www.sosariaonline.net/skillcalculator.php (Which will be transfered into our article system soon) the gain factor for Inscription is level 2, which means it is one of the hardest skills to gain. what you had is according to your total skills, and skill level, your chance with powerhour is roughly around 10% chance to gain...

so like Nox said if you don't do it right you can simply just burn resources, its like trying to gain skills on an item you want to craft at 10% rather around 50-60% which is where you'll get your good gains at...

slick, I must humbly apologize. This morning I found the source of the problem with gains on powerhour.... I did not even notice the problem until I actually designed the ingame Skill Chart manager. Please when you get the chance to log into your account, I'll speak to you about it.

Much better thanks. Just tried PH and inscription and got .4 gains out of about 50 attempts so thats much better.

Also was able to buy up in skill from vendor.

Any reason why starting at 0? Why not just buy the skill to 30s first?

There was a bug that didnt allow youto buy skill. Besides usually in one powerhour you can hit from 0 to 25 in almost any skill.
