"How do I make money?" thread

This is a common question almost everywhere, in every UO expansion set.

There are lots of methods to make money, for all of professions, and I don't know many of them.

The following is a way to make money without having a particular skill: you can do it even with 0 skill in everywhere.

Near Moonglow and Skara Brae are cotton fields. To be exact, in Razor X.Y coordinates:

- Moonglow: 4567.1475



- Skara Brae: 824.2357


Just go there and collect cotton. Then you can processate it if you want.

As follows:
- every bale of cotton is sold for 51 gold
- from one bale of cotton you can have 6 spool of thread, which are sold for 9 gold each (6 x 9 = 54 gold)
- with 5 spool of threads you can have a bolt of cloth that is sold for 50 gold. In this case you could sell it plus the 6th spool of thread left, for a total of 59 gold.




This way you can do easily more than 1k, enough to buy basic equipment and reagents if you are in need.

Of course you have to wait for the regrowth of cotton, so this method if not good as a continuous income, but it would be enough to buy the equipment and the training to develop other much profitable ways.

I go to Yew, in the south is a sheep farm. I can just kill sheep, gut the corpse with a dagger, and then loot. Once I'm full up, I just run to the Yew bank at Empath Abbey.

The great thing about this method is that there are so many sheep and they spawn so fast that you can get a few thousand gold's worth in just a few minutes.
